CLIMATE a seismograph for nature & society
CLIMATE a seismograph for nature & society
CLIMATE a seismograph for nature & society is the title of the 11th Symposium Dürnstein, which will take place from 24-26 March 2022 at the Dürnstein abbey. The Anthropocene is a dangerous time for life on the planet. Not only the geoclimate, but also the social and intellectual climate are in crisis.
The Dürnstein Symposium will ask why this has come about - and how we can all get out of it in one piece. Ernst Ulrich v Weizsäcker, the philosopher and historian of science Isabelle Stengers, the climate activist and author of the book "Ändert sich nichts ändert sich alles" Katharina Rogenhofer have been invited to speak.
Ms. Michaela Krömer, Austria's most prominent climate advocate according to FALTER, and the environmental scientist Sebastian Helgenberger, IASS Potsdam, have already confirmed their participation.
The list of speakers will be continuously updated on our website.
