Gernot Wagner on the subject of nuclear power
In the APA Science article of Jan. 24, 2022, Gernot Wagner, an Austrian climate economist teaching in the U.S., comments on nuclear power and the EU taxonomy regulation.
The classification of natural gas and nuclear power as "green" or climate-friendly energy sources is a very poor choice of words, according to Wagner. However, it is correct that nuclear power produces very little CO2 and therefore "must be part of the answer" when it comes to reducing greenhouse gas emissions.
Gernot Wagner's lecture in the program of the Dürnstein 2022 symposium is entitled: City Land Climate.
Tickets for the Dürnstein Symposium are already available.
